My graduating class had a group show on the topic of businesses that "give back" in one way or another. While doing research, I found that Nike, hated in the past for their unethical labor demands and huge amounts of toxic waste, are actually going to great lengths to start fixing the problems they have through their "Considered" line. These solutions include making shoes out of scrap materials, recycling synthetic materials to make new synthetic materials, and weaning off of toxic glues and rubbers while maintaining their reputation for quality and technology. I wanted people to see that there was more to Nike's products than the end result, that there was something more. By viewing the posters through an acrylic swoosh, the viewer would gain a clearer view of what was behind three of Nike's products.
